Everything is focused on that goal. From the very first visit, new patients are pointed to strategies that will achieve a lifetime of oral health. We gather as much information as possible with the latest diagnostic technology. We plan the best treatment for each individual. We believe they should understand the strategy before going forward — knowing what needs to be done, why it is needed, how long it will take, what it will cost, and how that cost can be paid.
We don’t like surprises, and we know that patients don’t like them either. So the comprehensive oral evaluation is the first essential step in any strategy.
The first Dr. Darby (Lloyd, Sr.) hung his shingle in May of 1909 — and Darby Dental Services was born. From those early days of foot-pedal instruments to today’s laser-assisted dentistry, three generations of the Darbys have improved smiles in Vidalia. In fact, we’re the oldest single-family business in Toombs County. Our history parallels major milestones in the art and science of dentistry.
1909, the year Dr. Lloyd H. Darby, Sr., began the practice, was the year that Novocain was synthesized. During a career that spanned 52 years, he saw the introduction of motorized instrumentation, dental x-rays, and the miracle of antibiotics.
Dr. L. Hubert Darby, Jr., joined his father in 1935 the year that dental acrylic was introduced. His 48
years of practice saw the discovery of fluoride, porcelain-fused-to-gold, and the air-driven turbine hand piece.
Dr. Lloyd H. Darby, III, earned his degree in 1964, the same year adhesive dentistry, or bonding, was born. He continues to participate in the technology explosion of computerized dental practice, implants, lasers, and invisible braces.
While nothing should stand between you and optimal dental health, cost is always an issue. We respect your concern for this, and that’s why, in addition to accepting cash, checks, and most major credit cards, we offer three financial alternatives:
Reduce the Fee - If paid in full at the first visit (which saves accounting fees), we reduce it by 10% --5% if payment is by credit card.
Divide the Fee - The total fee can be divided by the number of proposed appointments, and payment made per visit.
Spread the Fee - The fee can be spread into monthly payments financed by one of our financial partners.
